Caribbean Map 1660 - V11

This is a Map of the Caribbean circa 1660. The geography is taken from way-zoomed in Google Maps, and the cities are accurate to the time period. Compass points have been researched and are accurate to magnetic north for 1660 at the points illustrated.

Ship illustrations are pulled from old-timey public domain maps. The skull is from a series of photos I took. Ideally, the compass rose, skull and ships will be hand illustrated at some point.

This is all vectorized, with the intention that the map can be blown up from its original dimensions of 13"x19" to 26"x38" for use as a map for the "Pirates of Mysterious Islands (etc)" CCG. Upon blowing it up however, the fonts become comically large. Two versions must be created.

I carried this map at a Steampunk-themed sci-fi convention as costumery embellishment.
